Welcome to our Wicca New Moon: Apprentice Circles. These are suitable for Seekers & Beginners who are serious about exploring Wicca, with a view to personal development, working towards initiation and joining a working wiccan coven. We meet in north London, in the `Witches coven’ area in Queen’s Woods, to set up altar together, prepare sacred space, and do ritual work . Wicca teaching, demonstration, and practice will occur within sacred space. By attending these every month you’ll watch, learn, practise, and build up a real, working, experiential knowledge of Wiccan Path.
These are facilitated by Mani – Wiccan High Priest with over 27 years of Craft & Coven experiences in London.
About Wicca:
Wicca is the Craft of the Wise – and one of the neo-pagan mystery religions. It has a worshipping of Gods & Goddess, celebrating seasonal rituals and festivals, as well as the practice of spells, magic & healing. Initiated Wiccans consider themselves to be both a Witch and Priest or Priestess.
Wicca is believed to be a continuation of old Witchcraft religions and was founded in its current form by the late Gerald Gardner in 1950’s. Other key figures such as Doreen Valiente, Alex Sanders & Maxine Sanders have all contributed greatly to the growth of Wicca in the 60’s and 70’s. Anyone may follow the Wicca path & practises on their own or within groups. However deeper Wiccan practices occur inside secret and private groups called Covens. Joining a serious lineage Coven (Gardnerian or Alexandrian) requires much commitment, earning trust, personal magical development, balancing of your Transpersonal self, learning for atleast year and a day, and finally an initiation ceremony. Even after this, there’s usually years of hard magical work and growth ahead. Wicca is a lived in path.. a way of life.. not just a whim for few months. All this will be gradually covered in our Wicca Training Circles.
Building Trust & Privacy:
It is important for any magical group of people to build trust, as well as protect one another’s privacy. Tutor will explain some safety & communication ideas at initial meeting.
What we do at these Circles:
There will be a set of 4 Apprentice circles this Autumn 2023, usually a monday closer to the new moon.
These are training circles. So with tutor guidance, you will be fully involved. At each session, there will be a short teaching section, followed by a ritual where all participate.
- Preparation: Involves Altar set up, centering Meditation, Tree/ Chakra energy working, Wiccan Opening prayer.
- Scared space: Wiccan salt/water/incense Consecrations (help appreciated), Magic Circle cast & elements called at quarters.
- Power raising: spiral dance, chants/ deity work.
- Magic & spell: This will vary for each session to give you hands-on experience of different workings.
- Food Blessings/ closing circle (bring your own chalice/ cups)!
- Tidy up / departure. Packing altar items/ space tidy & walking back to main road.
For psychic safety reasons, please do not abruptly come in or leave the ritual circle once it has started.

There will be NO recording of any kind at these sessions. You may take a photo of the altar afterwards.
Privacy & Confidentiality :
Some level of sharing will be good for the group. But please respect Privacy & Confidentiality of all participants at all times – during & after these sessions.
Personal responsibility:
Wicca is a spiritual path of empowerment & personal responsibility. Active learning and discipline will give you more growth!
Fee: There is no set fee for these 4 sessions. Donations welcome in the collection box on altar after circle, according to your own financial means. But please attend with appreciation for the huge magical value these sessions offer to Seekers of Wicca.

Tutor (Mani) will aim to be in The Woodman’s Pub, from 6.30pm to 7pm for coffee / tea. You may join us there (usually table#500 in the patio area). Or you can meet us *outside* the Pub at 7pm (corner of Wood lane & Muswell Hill). We all walk together to the woods (15minutes) to set up altar. **Please be on time**
